Artisan Beekeeper in the West of Ireland
ABOUT US
We sell honey and bee products produced by our own bees, proudly providing a 100% Irish product. The windy and wet weather of the West can be a challenge for our bees but fortunately they do very well.
In the Spring our bees forage mainly on Dandelion and Sycamore. The Elderberry and Whitethorn arrive late Spring. Into the Summer months is the Clover, Blackberry and Chestnut and at the end of Summer and beginning of Autumn is one of our biggest harvests, Ivy honey - A plant used commonly in herbal medicine for its powerful healing qualities.
We only harvest surplus honey from our bees. Each colony is left a whole box of honey throughout the year. During a strong nectar flow, bees often produce more honey than they need, this is all we harvest.
